Inmiddels gebruik ik WhatsApp For Business nu 1,5 jaar en ik kan niet meer zonder. Het is de beste manier om persoonlijk contact met je klanten te hebben zonder dat je privé en zakelijk door elkaar hebt lopen. Als trouwfotograaf heb ik vaak contact met mijn bruidsparen via whatsapp voor de kleine vragen. Dit gaat een stuk sneller dan mailen en de drempel is wat lager. Mailen is toch altijd een stuk zakelijker : )

Ik ga jullie meenemen in de functies die WhatsApp For Business heeft en hoe ik deze gebruik voor mijn bedrijf.

Labels

Je kan elk gesprek een label geven. Iets wat er voor zorgt dat je een goed overzicht krijgt. Je kan meerdere labels geven per gesprek. Altijd handig als er iets overlapt! 

Ook kan je per label al je gesprekken terug vinden. 

Zelf maak ik actief gebruik van deze functie. Hieronder een aantal voorbeelden van de labels die ik heb:

• Bruidsparen 2022
• Lovers (klanten van shoots)
• Collega fotografen 
• Videografen 
• Mentor sessies

Jouw bedrijfsgegevens

In de app kan je alle gegevens van jouw bedrijf toevoegen. Denk aan:

• Bedrijfsnaam
• Omschrijving
• Openingstijden
• Adres
• Website
• Catalogus

Welkoms bericht of Afwezigheidsbericht

Je kan een welkoms bericht instellen als je wil dat iedereen die jou een appje stuurt een berichtje terug krijgt. Dit kan je ook alleen instellen voor personen die jij bijv. niet als contact hebt opgeslagen. Als je je openingstijden in de app instelt, kan je ervoor kiezen om buiten deze openingstijden een standaard berichtje te sturen dat je bijv. later zijn/haar appje beantwoord.

Producten toevoegen in jouw Catalogus

Als je producten of diensten aanbied kan je deze in jouw catalogus plaatsen. Je kan zelfs verschillende collecties toevoegen. Zet de link naar het product erbij, en Voilà! Nog makkelijker om al jouw verschillende producten en diensten te tonen aan potentiële klanten.

Hoe stap je over?

Zelf heb ik ervoor gekozen om een nieuw privé nummer te nemen, aangezien mijn nummer toen al veel zakelijk werd gebruikt. Dan was dit voor mij een makkelijkere oplossing. Je hebt een mobiele telefoon nodig die Dual Sim is. Zelf heb ik op dit moment de iPhone 12 Pro Max. Deze heeft ruimte voor 1 fysieke sim-kaart en 1 e-sim. Nadat ik de e-sim had geactiveerd heb ik Whatsapp overgezet naar Whatsapp For Business. Al mijn gesprekken heeft die overgenomen in Whatsapp For Business. Ik was uiteindelijk dus niks kwijt, en heb al mijn gesprekken gearchiveerd.

Voor mijn privé e nummer gebruik ik de normale Whatsapp. Doordat het 2 verschillende apps zijn hou ik alles goed gescheiden.

As a wedding photographer, I often contact my brides and grooms via whatsapp for the little questions. This is a lot faster than emailing and the threshold is a bit lower. Mailing is always a lot more business like : )

I’m going to take you through the features that WhatsApp For Business has and how I use them for my business.

Labels

You can give each conversation a label. Something that makes sure you get a good overview. You can give multiple labels per conversation. Always useful when something overlaps!

You can also find all your conversations per label.

I myself actively use this feature. Here are some examples of the labels I have:

• Bridal Couples 2022
• Lovers (clients of shoots)
• Colleague photographers
• Videographers
• Mentor sessions

Your company details

In the app you can add all the details of your business. Think about:

• Company name
• Description
• Opening hours
• Address
• Website
• Catalog

Welcome message or Absence message

You can set a welcome message if you want everyone who sends you an app to receive a message back. You can also set this only for people you haven’t saved as contacts. If you set your opening hours in the app, you can choose to send a standard message outside these opening hours, for example that you will answer his/her app later.

Add products to your catalog

If you offer products or services you can put them in your catalog. You can even add different collections. Add the link to the product, and voila! Even easier to show all your different products and services to potential customers.

How do you switch?

I myself chose to take a new private number, since my number was already used a lot for business purposes at the time. Then this was an easier solution for me. You need a cell phone that is Dual Sim. I myself currently have the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This has room for 1 physical sim card and 1 e-sim. After I activated the e-sim, I transferred Whatsapp to Whatsapp For Business. All my conversations it took over in Whatsapp For Business. So I ended up losing nothing, and archived all my conversations.

For my private e number I use the normal Whatsapp. Because they are 2 different apps I keep everything well separated.
